An industry veteran with 15 + YEARS experience in financial services, Robert Newhouse was one of the first members of the technology team that built Island ECN, the first securities ECN. Prior to starting Ballista, he held was CTO at TradeSpeed vendor TORC Financial, and CTO of Orbit II Partners, an options market-making firm. RobertŐs career in the markets began as a runner on the American Stock Exchange (Amex) and spans multiple asset classes including equities, options, and futures. He holds a 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
Todd Kenney brings over 10 + years of experience in the financial industry, with a concentration in electronic trading and back-office brokerage operations. Todd has held executive positions at TORC Financial and Arrowhead Solutions, a financial technology firm recently acquired by ThinkorSwim, now part of TD Ameritrade. He holds Series 4, 7, and 24 licenses, and earned his B.A. from Amherst College.
Prior to joining Ballista Securities and developing the technical underpinnings of Ballista ATS, Dan served as a Research Associate at the Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences (ICES) at the University of Texas at Austin, and as a Postdoctoral Associate at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University. Dan earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University.
Stephen Johnson has 10 + years of experience in the securities industry having served as a Registered Options Market Maker on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and as a Compliance Examiner with NASD. He has held the title of CCO for multiple PHLX, NYSE, and NASD members. Stephen holds an M.S. in Finance from Temple University and a B.A. in Economics from Providence College. He is Series 4, 7, 14, 24, 27 and 53 licensed.
Paul Lisiak is the founder of Metropolitan Equity Partners, the initial investor in Ballista Securities. In this role at Ballista, he is responsible for establishing strategic partnerships and funding relationships. At Metropolitan, he is responsible for deal origination and deal execution across the firm's offices in New York and London. He started his career at Lazard Asset Management as a member of the Global High Yield team that was among the highest ranked Lipper-rated managers. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses and graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Keith Landsberg has over 10 + years of options and derivatives industry experience, most recently as Vice President of Options at the American Stock Exchange (Amex), where he oversaw marketing, order flow, research and options administration. Prior to joining Amex, Landsberg was a member of the Exchange and a registered options trader for Tahoe Trading, LLC. While in that position, Landsberg was elected Chairman of the Options Market Maker Association, a trade group that represented the interests and concerns of over 600 floor members.
Keith Jarrett was a founding member and senior executive of Thomson Financial, a leading vendor of information and technology solutions to the global financial community. During this time, Jarrett founded and directed Thomson Financial's Corporate Venture Capital Group, served as the CEO of all non-US operations and founded and developed many of the products and services for Thomson Financial's Straight Through Processing ("STP") initiatives, including the Thomson Electronic Settlement Group (now "Omgeo"). He has an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from Harvard Business School. Keith served as a Captain in the U.S. Army after graduating with honors from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
