I figured since I work for Vivid Ascent a integrated marketing agency devoted to SEO, I should start learning more about the Biz. SEO is interesting because they never really teach it in beginning web class, even though is a relatively basic coding. I guess its because SEO involves more researching then production. I still think they should go over it more at the beginning stages of learn web development , just to build a good base , so that way when the time comes around to worry about SEO the solid structure is there to work with. Thats my rant for today. :)

Just finished up the Drupal test site for CBOENews. I video module was a bit of a pain. Most of the Video mods available used a video converter that needed to be installled on the sever side. This becames a problem when you use third party hosting. You can install on their severs. I found swftools to be the best fit for my project. Its very end user friendly. It uses a simple javascript call to embedd all flash types.

Drupaling it up today! converting CBOE into a CMS using Drupal. Its gonna be alittle trick CBOE has some functionality that not sure how to do it in druapl. But this will save much needed time in the future from me having to make copy change, someone else can do and I can work on other builds.

" Working on some Drop down menus for Ballista using Jquery. Jquery is a very cool tool to use to create these drop downs, just a little tricky getting the animations to work smooth. Jquery is Event build up and you need to make sure you uses to stop(); method to cancel out past events."

I still love the old site thats why Im keeping it in the portfolio, but I needed to show more of a professional look as opposed to an artistic look, because most clients are businesses looking for a business look."
